David Vergoz, MBA

David is co-founder and CEO of BlackWood Finance & Accounting, Inc. For over 20 years his company has worked with small and medium sized businesses in financial management, debt and equity financing, strategic financial planning, financial modeling, financial analysis & reporting and transaction processing. Prior to BlackWood he served as Vice President, Finance for the CRM software company YOUcentric. During his tenure at YOUcentric the company grew from twenty-five employees to two hundred and sixty, raised over $80M in venture capital/private equity funding and filed an S-1 for an IPO. Prior to YOUcentric he served as Senior Financial Analyst for the venture capital group Phoenix Associates. Phoenix operated in a variety of industries including cable television, radio, publishing, water purification, industrial coolant recycling, professional sports, property management and manufacturing. He’s served as a delegate to the North Carolina Governor’s Conference on Small Business, been a member of the Turnaround Management Association and been a guest speaker discussing financial modeling and management at various conferences. He holds an MBA in Finance from New York University.
