Dan Coates, DO

Dan graduated from University of Utah with a Biology major. He currently attends Rocky Vista University, pursuing a medical degree with a focus on Emergency Medicine, especially wilderness, disaster and pre-hospital healthcare. He found his passion for rural and austere medicine on a trip to northern China when he shadowed two physicians updating Mao era “barefoot doctor” clinics. Since starting medical school he has organized multiple ultrasound conferences and continuing education events for physicians, residents, and medical students. He loves remote areas of the world.
