Catherine Schaefer

Catherine was born in Poland and currently lives in Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a Master’s degree in Integrative Physiology. While at CU, she was a research assistant to Professor Roger Enoka in the Neurophysiology of Movement Laboratory. Upon graduation, Catherine resolved to continue her involvement with health sciences.

She started working with Dr. Gronseth in July 2024 and became involved in multiple ways: at the Spine West clinic, helping with 7D Imaging, and with the NYAGI Project. Catherine’s first NYAGI trip was to Somaliland where she helped to facilitate a smooth experience for both the NYAGI team and the new students. In addition, she coordinates outreach to the countries where Dr. Gronseth is teaching ultrasound and maintains contact with countries who would like to invite NYAGI and begin the training. In her free time, she likes dancing, hiking, biking, watching movies, and reading books.
