Aidan Sokup

Aidan recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a B.A. in Integrative Physiology and a Certificate in Public Health, where he was a recipient of the President Horace M. Hale award through the Esteemed Scholars Program and academic award recognition via Dean’s List. He currently works at Spine West Physiatry and Sports Physicians as a Medical Assistant. Aidan also assists with research at the CU Sleep and Chronobiology Lab, where he has assisted with research on the disruption of sleep and circadian rhythms and the effects on the metabolism, cognition, and health as well as potential countermeasures to negative health impacts of disrupted sleep. He is the former Director of Learning/ghU Coordinator for CU Boulder’s GlobeMed Chapter, where he coordinated weekly chapter education and discussion as well as co-organized an expert panel on the topic of racial inequities in health and healthcare for the chapter’s Public ghU. Aidan is passionate about health equity and justice for underserved individuals and communities and believes that the NYAGI Project is a fantastic organization for serving these underserved communities internationally.
